Tour Overview
Join us for a fun and informative walking tour of the proposed route for the Atlanta Streetcar East Extension. This one-way tour begins in Downtown Atlanta and ends in Old Fourth Ward. We will explore and discuss Atlanta’s past, present and future. The experience includes:
Brief overview of Atlanta's Ring of Fire
Quick tour of Centennial Olympic Park
Ride on the Atlanta Streetcar
Brief tour of the Historic Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park
Walk along the proposed route for the Atlanta Streetcar East Extension (see video below)
Discuss and envision the timeline to complete the light rail transit system along the preferred alignment (see map below)
Quick tour of the Krog District
Marvel at the transformative development along the Eastside Trail
Optional lunch at New Realm Brewing**
* Separate ticket required. If possible, please purchase your Atlanta Streetcar ticket in advance, This will save time during the tour. ** Lunch not included.
Tour Details
$10/person
The minimum age is 21
You should be in excellent physical condition to participate. We will be walking 4 to 5 miles at a moderate pace on uneven pavement and along busy city streets.
No pets on this tour, sorry.
Tour participants will receive a separate email after registering with additional details including exact meeting location, etc.
In the event of severe weather, the tour will be rescheduled to May 6, 2023. If you cannot make the new date, you can request a full refund. Weather updates will be sent before the tour if (as) necessary.
