Experience ATL! Food & History Tour

ExperienceATL! will be debuting as an “AirBnB Experience” in March 2022

Celebrate Atlanta's past, present and future with this adventure-driven walking tour. You will have fun, learn some new things and eat well!

The adventure begins in Downtown ATL, where the city began. During the first hour, you will learn about the city's origins as a bustling railroad town. You will also see some of its most historic buildings and streets.

Next, we board the MARTA train, which runs alongside the historic Georgia Railroad. During our short train ride, you will get to see and learn about the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park and Historic Oakland Cemetery. Our destination is Inman Park, Atlanta's first 'suburb' and site of the Battle of Atlanta, which took place in 1864. Here, you learn about this pivotal battle that would prove to be the tipping point of the American Civil War.

After visiting key battlefield sites, we will explore Inman Park on foot. This is one of ATL's most beautiful neighborhoods so you can expect to see magnificent homes including 'Callan Castle' home of Asa Candler, founder of the Coca-Cola Co.

Our third and final destination is the Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail, where you will get to experience some of ATL's best bars, breweries and restaurants. Our stops include Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall, New Realm Brewing and Ponce City Market, where the tour ends. The total walking distance is approximately four miles.
